FOLKLORE FESTIVAL 2009
Entertainers' Information Sheet
NOTE: Be very clear about the length of performances. In order to accommodate many entertainers,
we must stick to the schedule and each group will be limited to the agreed upon performance
(there is no extra time for additional 'surprise' songs, dances. Thank you
for your consideration of the other performers.)
1. Entertainer Registration Forms and Technical Data Information Sheet may be picked
any day from TBMA.
2. Please send back or drop off the following information to TBMA (ASAP):
-Entertainer Registration Form completely filled out
-The Technical Data Information Sheet--completely filled out so that our sound crew can fulfill your requirements
-Information (names, story) about the songs to be performed and a complete bio on your group for
the Master of Ceremonies to use to introduce you before your performance
3. Please be open and flexible if you are requesting performance times. Not all groups can perform
at 3pm on Saturday! Your group will be contacted--please
confirm with Jeanetty Jumah at 622-3710 evenings if the times are suitable or with Michelle at 623-5471
or leave a message for her at 345-0551 so that we may have a commitment of your performance.
Thank you for your cooperation. Your groups will also be listed on
the Entertainers' link on www.folklorefestival.ca as soon as you confirm your participation.
4. Folklore Festival entry procedures:
-Groups are required to submit a list of the names of all performers and 4 Adult supervisors
well before the Festival
Send a list of every performer/supervisor to reception@thunderbay.org
Contact Michelle and you can arrange to pick up the armbands
(only after she has your list.) Thank you.
-Only entertainers listed will be issued armbands and admitted to the Festival free-of charge.
-Entertainers will enter by the McKellar Street side Entrance with armbands attached.
Their names will be checked off on the Entertainer list provided by the group. At least, 2 group Supervisors
should be present to help identify the entertainers and if needed,
escort the little ones to the Main Entrance where they can meet their family.
-Only Entertainers with armbands attached and names on the list will be admitted free;
if armbands are forgotten or names missing,
the regular admission will have to be paid at the Main Entrance
-No ripped or taped armbands will be allowed
**People accompanying entertainers must purchase tickets at the Main Entrance to gain entrance.
Admission is only free for entertainers.**
Please be sure to have all of the above information in on time so that we can take care
of you and your performers to the best of our abilities. We look forward to your commitment
to this year's Folklore Festival and to having you share your talents with our community.
